Minds Matterof Philadelphia Minds Matter connects driven and determined students from lowincome families with the people preparation and possibilities to succeed in college create their future and change the world. What We Do Minds Matter is a fouryear mentoring program that begins in students freshman year of high school. Minds Matter offers its students a combination of individualized mentor support and group tutoring that provides students with the resources information and guidance they need to gain admission to enroll in and graduate from fouryear colleges. Over the course of four years Minds Matter provides over 160 hours of inperson tutoring in math writing critical thinking and standardized test preparation Minds Matter provides each student with two dedicated collegeeducated mentors that provide over 150 hours of inclass support to their mentee Minds Matter allows students to attend two prestigious college summer programs at no cost to the family Our results Since 2011 Minds Matter of Philadelphia has served more than 150 Philadelphia high school students.
