Sign up to be part of an innovative pilot project we're part of with Petco Love Lost, Best Friends, and 20+ other shelters around the country! Once you sign up, you can stop by Asheville Humane Society during business hours to pick up FREE yard signs (in both English and Spanish!) to place around the county (even your own yard if you live in a hot spot!). The signs feature QR codes directing users to Petco Love Lost — a free, user-friendly tool that uses facial recognition technology to get lost pets back home. Once the balloons have deflated, the cake long ago eaten, and the Canine Manners certificate hung on the fridge with care, you may ask…what’s next? Beyond Basics! In this 6 week course, we will expand upon basic training to help you get reliability from your dog’s behavior anywhere, anytime, and at any distance. Your dog will learn how to stop forward movement when running towards a distraction, sitting at a distance, and more! The next course is coming up quickly, starting May 21 at 6:30pm. These classes are for dogs who have completed Canine Manners or an equivalent course. Please note your dog’s experience in your application. You will not regret it!
