NORTHERN DUTCHESS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
We bring professional orchestral music to northern Dutchess County and the surrounding Hudson Valley area. More info at www.ndsorchestra.org. The purpose of the Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra is to bring live orchestral music to the students and communities of Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park and the surrounding Hudson Valley area. The Orchestra provides a venue for adult and youth musicians as well as guest artists. Our goal is to foster an intelligent appreciation of orchestral music through various means, including seminars, lectures, interactive programs, children’s concerts and other events. Many of the members of our board are teachers, so we are particularly interested in reaching out to children in Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park, and the surrounding area.
