This year, our annual springtime celebration of America’s trails fell on Saturday, April 26, and it was so much more than a day outside. Celebrate Trails Day was a day of joy, impact and action—and it was extraordinary: 🗺️ Trails were celebrated across the country–tens of thousands of people showed up to #CelebrateTrails in 49 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. 🚲 Our 375+ partners planned hundreds of celebrations, which included group bike rides, walks, runs, community festivals, cleanups, and other types of activities and programming that invited people outside. ❤️ It inspired happy hearts and more smiles. People reported logging an average of 104 minutes being active outdoors and on trails, totaling an estimated 3.4 million minutes on Celebrate Trails Day, and 97% of people agreed that using trails make a difference for their mental health and well-being. $ Celebrating America’s trails made dollars and sense for communities nationwide. An estimated 1.3 million total was potentially spent on or to prepare for Celebrate Trails Day, including visiting ice cream stores and other local businesses. Thank you to everyone who joined us for Celebrate Trails Day and helped demonstrate the difference even one day on the trail can make. This year, several supporting organizations helped make the 2025 celebration one of the most impactful yet, including: Athletic Brewing Company, the premier sponsor of the celebration; Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods; Brompton Bicycle; Catrike; Earth Day Initiative; Green Sports Alliance; HBCUs Outside; iHeart Media; Latino Outdoors; Mirrycle; NEMO Equipment; Patagonia Old Town; Po Campo; REI; Saris; and Sports Backers. We hope everyone will continue to experience and celebrate trails in your everyday lives—and that you’ll mark the 4th Saturday of April on your calendars for next year’s celebration!
