Last week, Governor Ferguson signed the State budget. While the Governor did make some cuts, we are relieved to report that the $20 million allocated for victim services remains fully intact! This funding will support victim services work throughout the next fiscal year and help offset some of the VOCA cuts. We are closely reviewing the details of what was cut from the budget by the governor to assess what cuts might impact programs and survivors. We will share more information as soon as we have it.
