🎻✨ Get to Know Our Talented Musicians! ✨🎻 Today, we’re thrilled to introduce you to Teresa Nguyen, one of the brilliant artists who brings the magic to the Victoria Symphony stage! 🎶 🎵 Instrument: Viola 🎼 Favorite Composers & Piece: Teresa has a deep love for romantic literature—especially Brahms, Beethoven, Dvořák, and Mahler. But if she had to choose one favorite? Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz tops the list: "It's such a beautiful and exciting piece with a crazy story behind it!" 🎶 Musical Taste: Outside the concert hall, you might catch her listening to doo-wop from the 50s and 60s! 💡 Hidden Talent: Teresa is an accomplished seamstress who designs and creates many of her own clothes—and has even won international awards in historical costuming! 🎬 Life Soundtrack: She imagines Mozart would be the perfect composer for her life’s soundtrack, thanks to his grand sense of humor. 🎭 Memorable Moment on Stage: Once, a conductor’s baton went flying several feet into the air and landed right in her lap while she was playing—talk about catching the beat! 📚 Dream Job: If she weren't a musician, Teresa would be a fiction novelist. She loves getting lost in books and fantastical stories. ☕ Guilty Pleasures: Coffee and dark chocolate, of course! 💬 Advice for Young Musicians: “Don’t even think about giving up! Everyone sounds clunky and weird at first—you just have to power through that phase to get to the good stuff. You get out what you put in—there are no shortcuts to skill. Work hard, and you’ll see results!” 💖 Inspiration: Teresa credits her middle and high school orchestra directors with laying the foundation of her musical life, inspiring her to pursue music in college and beyond.
