As we close a chapter on another school year, we’re elated to celebrate a remarkable class of 5th-grade graduates from Shepherd Community Academy — students who go beyond the classroom to lead with heart, resilience, and hope. This summer, in honor of Shepherd’s 40th Ruby Celebration, we’ll be highlighting a few of these incredible students every Friday through the end of the summer. Their stories embody what the next 40 years of Shepherd will be, building a future full of passion, love, commitment, protection, loyalty, success, devotion, and divine sacrifice. Meet Abi: Abi has been a part of the Academy for 8 years. Her favorite subject is math, and when she grows up, she wants to be a nurse because she is, “good at taking care of people.” Meet Alan: Alan has been a part of the Shepherd Community Academy for 3 years. His favorite subject is math, and when he grows up, he wants to, “be someone who helps people in need and makes an impact on people's lives.” He also wants to make sure families are loving and caring to their kids.
