YOUTH Spotlight: Caroline Roberts School: Hillsdale Academy Parents: Michael and Lisa Roberts Caroline Roberts has been a member of the Hillsdale County Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Committee for 3 and a half years. Her favorite part of YOUTH has been the opportunity to bond with other students from across the county while making a meaningful difference in the community. At Hillsdale Academy, Caroline was actively involved in Varsity Track, Cross Country, and Basketball. She also participated in Service Club, Drama, and National Honor Society, and is a member of the College Baptist Church youth group. After graduation, Caroline plans to attend Hillsdale College, where she will study Exercise Science and compete in track and cross country at the collegiate level. YOUTH Spotlight: Keegan Oxley, Trustee School: Hillsdale High School Parents: Tami and Derrick Oxley Keegan Oxley has been an active member of the Hillsdale County Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Committee for six years and currently serves as the YOUTH Trustee on the Foundation’s Board. His favorite part of YOUTH has been the honor of serving in this leadership role and having the opportunity to lead the Youth Against Distracted Driving Campaign. At Hillsdale High School, Keegan has made an impact through his involvement as Student Body President, President of Key Club, Secretary of National Honor Society, and a member of the Freshman Mentor Program, Quiz Bowl, and several high school musicals. Outside of school, Keegan dances with the Jackson Dance Company and runs his own small business—Oxley Origami—where he creates and sells intricate paper art. Following graduation, Keegan will attend Wayne State University to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, with a minor in Business and plans to earn a Pilates certification.
