Elevate Metro KC

Programs and Services

Elevate Metro KC offers a comprehensive approach to youth development, involving full-time teacher-mentors who provide year-round support. Their programs focus on four main areas:

• Accredited Classes: Educational sessions that integrate character development and leadership skills.
• Mentoring: Long-term, relational mentorship that emphasizes personal growth and community engagement.
• Adventure: Programs designed to promote teamwork, resilience, and exploration.
• Pathways to Purpose: A college and career planning program aimed at guiding students toward successful futures.

These initiatives are currently implemented in schools within the Center School District, specifically at Center Elementary School and Center High School.

History

Elevate Metro KC is part of the larger Elevate network, which began as Colorado UpLift in 1982. Colorado UpLift initially focused on providing character and leadership instruction in public schools. The organization expanded nationally, with affiliates launching in cities like Orlando, Phoenix, and New York between 2008 and 2010. Elevate Metro KC was established in 2019 as the organization expanded into Kansas City.

Financial Information

As a 501(c)(3) organization, Elevate Metro KC's financial operations are primarily supported by contributions. In recent years, contributions have accounted for the majority of their revenue. The organization maintains a strong asset base with minimal liabilities.

Leadership and Personnel

Christopher Jehle serves as the Executive Director of Elevate Metro KC. Jehle has a background in community development, previously founding The Hope Center in Kansas City. Other key staff include Tiffany Green, Site Director, and Crystal Bahr, Director of Development, among others.
