United We Dream Action

United We Dream Action is the lobbying, advocacy, and electoral arm of United We Dream, a nonprofit immigrant advocacy organization. It is powered by immigrant youth, youth of color with immigrant family members, and everyday voters.

United We Dream Action focuses on creating a society that celebrates diversity by leading a multi-ethnic, intersectional path. The organization advocates for a range of social issues including immigration, LGBTQIA rights, education, health, economy, climate change, and racial justice. It seeks to improve the lives of its community by organizing people directly impacted to ensure strong and effective leadership.

Activities

United We Dream Action organizes efforts in the streets, builds cutting-edge technology systems, opens doors for LGBTQIA immigrant youth, clears pathways to education, stops deportations, and creates alliances across social movements. It has been involved in electoral politics since 2018, aiming to elect champions at all levels of government to protect immigrant communities.

Notable Campaigns

In 2018, United We Dream Action entered the election cycle for the first time due to the rollback of significant protections for immigrants. It supported candidates who championed immigrant rights and continued its work through campaigns like "Here to Stay" and "Live Unafraid."

Mission

The mission of United We Dream Action is to build power for immigrant communities and people of color by organizing voters and promoting legislation that improves their lives. It works towards lasting change by advocating for legislation at the local, state, and national levels.
