Legislative Update Who We Are and What We Do The Housing Alliance of PA convenes the people organizations government staff and others who recognize that a safe stable home of ones own is a basic need that should be available to all. We take on the big systemic challenges that would allow those that are delivering housing assistance programs at the local level to provide more people with assistance to access affordable housing. We analyze local state and federal policy barriers and propose changesadvocate for increased funding and more effective public policyresearch and promote smart practices at the local level since more funding is a big need but not always the only answerconvene and engage the organizations and local governments that are delivering direct housing assistance programs andlisten to and engage those with experience of housing instability and homelessness for their policy and program recommendations We all need a safe and decent place to call home.
