As we honor emergency medical service professionals this EMS Week, we’re humbled by stories like Tim’s — a first responder who has dedicated his life to helping others, and now faces the challenge of awaiting a heart transplant with grace, humility, and courage. “Sometimes I struggle with wanting to know if I’m worthy enough. After my cardiac arrest, I got a second shot at life, and now I’m asking for a third shot with a different heart.
