Did you know that Adventist Health operates a hospital and clinic network in Hawai’i? Adventist Health has been part of the Windward O’ahu community since 1963, when our sister hospital Adventist Health Castle was founded in Kailua. During Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we’re honoring the many tenets of Hawaiian culture that teach us about true health and wholeness, including the concept of aloha. The Hawaiian word “aloha” encompasses love and compassion. It’s embodied by the values of "A" (Akahai - kindness), "L" (Lōkahi - unity), "O" (‘Olu’olu - agreeable), and "H" (Ha'aha'a - humility).
