ALWD Association of Legal Writing Directors Legal Communication Rhetoric JALWD ALWD publishes Legal Communication Rhetoric JALWD a scholarly journal that advances the study of professional legal writing and lawyering and provides a forum for conversation between the legal practitioner and the legal writing scholar. ABA Engagement As the ABA affiliate group for legal writing ALWD engages with the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar on behalf of the legal writing community. ALWD Guide ALWD authors the ALWD Guide to Legal Citation which is a consistent and flexible resource for legal citation. The Guide helps professors effectively teach legal citation and allows practitioners and judges to easily create citations that are consistent with the norms of the legal profession.
