As we celebrate Pride month and the LGBTQ+ community, we recognize the outsized impact that many government systems—including the child welfare, juvenile legal, and criminal legal systems—have had on Black LBTQ+ women and girls. The National Black Women’s Justice Institute stands in solidarity with you! #PRIDE #HappyPride #BlackWomen #BlackGirls #YouthJustice #Reentry #SurvivorJustice #EndSchoolPushout #NBWJI (fb)

More than 2 in 5 Black women have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. This is an important step toward ending the criminalization and confinement of Black women and girls. Subscribe to our newsletter for updates on new studies, reports, and resources that help us end the criminalization of Black women and girls.
