National Guard Association of Tennessee – Nashville, Tennessee The National Guard Association of Tennessee NGATN began operations in 1924 with the purpose of supporting the members of the Tennessee National Guard as they served both the State and the Nation. Over the past 100 years NGATN has led the way in securing parity with our Active Component brothers and sisters inarms in the areas of manning equipping and providing benefits to our Soldiers and Airmen. The National Guard Association of Tennessee is the primary advocate in Nashville educating the General Assembly on the roles capabilities and requirements of Tennessees first military force. We work hand in hand with the National Guard Association of the United States to accomplish this same mission in Washington DC with Congress.
