🐾 Our PEAK students -Ganga, Angela, Sunita & Tulsi- volunteered at the Kathmandu Animal Treatment (KAT) Centre in Budhanilkantha, caring for rescued dogs and cats, many of whom have been abandoned or injured. Throughout the day, our students remained dedicated: cleaning kennels, replenishing water bowls, ensuring the animals had spaces, and offering food, treats & affection. Some animals were shy, others energetic, but all responded warmly to the love and attention they received.

HIMALAYAN CHILDREN'S CHARITIES
In many rural areas of Nepal, menstruation is shrouded in stigma and taboo. Women and girls often face isolation and restrictions during their monthly cycles, prevented from cooking, attending school, or even sleeping inside their homes. To challenge these harmful norms, HCC conducts Health & Hygiene Outreach Workshops, offering vital education, emotional support, and practical resources 📚 In February, HCC team members Mun Maya and Hira led a menstrual health seminar in rural Dhading, where 75 girls (in grades 8, 9, and 10) attended.
