Abolitionist Law Center ALC is a movement lawyering and organizing project that defends human rights and challenges incarceration and other state structural violence Action Alert Join us to learn more about how the upcoming Philadelphia budget hearings are a key opportunity to divest from prisons police and invest in our communities. Tactics We use litigation community organizing and strategic communications to end mass incarceration empower impacted people and protect individuals who encounter the criminal punishment system. Targets We challenge every point on the criminal punishment conveyor belt including policing courts jails and prisons and various forms of legal supervision as well as other aspects of the carceral machine.
