“I feel too queer for Jewish spaces, but I also feel too Jewish for queer spaces.” This is the reality for many queer Jews right now. In a recent article, The Forward outlines how the NYC Dyke March deleted a statement of inclusion for Jewish dykes only to reaffirm its commitment to anti-Zionism as a core principle. This resulted in the doxxing of an organizer, and a wave of Jewish dykes walking away from the march. @shalomdykes, co-founded by Zioness Pride Fellowship facilitator Nate Shalev in response to this exclusion, is creating space for Jewish queers to show up fully and proudly.
