He was just 8 years old when he lost his big brother to gun violence. He kept coming to school—but in silence. Because somewhere along the way, he was told: “Boys don’t cry. Be strong.” At Charleston Hope, we noticed. One of our school-based therapists sat beside him. Listened. And helped him begin to heal. This is why therapy in schools matters. And right now—we need your help to keep it going. We need to raise $100,000 by June 30 to keep every counselor in every school next year. Your gift makes healing possible for students carrying grief, trauma, and pain they shouldn’t face alone. Here’s what your support can do: ✨ $100/month – Year-round therapy ✨ $500 – Small-group counseling ✨$1,000 – Full year of Step-In enrichment ✨ $2,000 – 12 weeks of THRIVE therapy for one student Donate using the link in our bio. Let’s make sure no child walks through trauma alone. #charlestonhope #scnonprofit #chsnonprofit #charlestonnonprofit #title1schools #mentalhealthmatters #hopeinaction (fb)

About the organization

Currently 1 in 3 children in South Carolina lack access to essential mental health services. With suicide being the third leading cause of death among youth aged 1024 and an overwhelming counselortostudent ratio of 1653 our schools are stretched far too thin to meet the growing demand for mental health support. Charleston Hope increases access to mental behavioral health programs in Title 1 schools to enhance student wellbeing. Heres how were bringing mental health care to more students.
