The Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA) is a U.S. nonprofit organization with an EIN of 26-0833212. It was founded in 1997 as a joint initiative between Food for the Hungry and the Harvest Foundation with the goal of empowering local churches worldwide to play a strategic role in community and national transformation.

History

The DNA was established to promote a specific "school of thought" emphasizing the power of Biblical truth in cultural transformation, the strategic role of the church in society, and the importance of holistic, incarnational ministry. This initiative began with five-day Vision Conferences, led by co-founders Darrow Miller and Bob Moffitt. The first conference was held in Lima, Peru in 1997, and since then, hundreds of such conferences have been conducted in over 60 nations across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas[1][2].

The Disciple Nations Alliance adheres to a Statement of Faith based on the Lausanne Covenant, highlighting essential doctrines foundational to its mission. This faith guides its work in equipping churches with a biblical worldview that transforms lives and empowers communities[1].

Activities

The organization provides training programs that equip churches with practical tools to initiate healing and transformation processes using existing resources. Local leaders who have undergone this training often start self-sustaining networks in their communities. In 2008, the DNA Global Secretariat was established as a non-profit organization. This entity, along with a Global Advisory Team composed of key national leaders, supports and coordinates the global alliance[1].
