Since she was just 6 months old, Victoria has battled refractory epilepsy—a severe form of epilepsy that doesn’t respond to standard treatments. Her parents, Claire and Andrew, spent years searching for answers and relief for their daughter. When a new anti-epileptic medication called vigabatrin was introduced as a last hope, they made the difficult decision to try it, knowing it came with risks. Tragically, the medication caused toxicity in Victoria’s brain, robbing her of her motor skills. Now 8 years old, Victoria continues to fight with strength, resilience, and a beautiful spirit that inspires everyone who meets her. Recently, Victoria outgrew her gait trainer—an essential tool that helps her move and explore the world more independently. Her old one no longer supported her growth or evolving needs.
