Last week, FutureChurch hosted its first Modeling Synodality from the Margins panel—this time focusing on liturgy. 🌿 We were honored to learn from four prophetic communities who embody synodality through inclusive, creative, and Spirit-filled liturgical life: ✨ The Community of St. Hildegard – nurturing full participation across in-person and Zoom liturgies 🏡 WHIMM (Washington Home Inclusive Monthly Mass) – gathering in homes with inclusive Eucharistic celebrations led by a Roman Catholic Woman Priest 🕊️ Community of St. Peter – reborn after parish closure, rooted in resilience and shared leadership 🌈 Living Beatitudes Community – blending Dignity members and displaced Catholics in liturgies co-presided by both lay and ordained ministers Together, they’re reimagining liturgy from the margins—and modeling the synodal Church we long to be.
