We could not be more proud of our first UNZA graduate and Founding Grantee Ruth Promise Kayz. Ruth (who you may recognise from our website homepage), has graduated from University of Zambia -the best school in the nation- last week with a double Major- Bachelor of Education with a focus on Library and Information Studies as well as a BA Development Studies. Bakashanas primary work involves the support of youth living in rural areas who have successfully completed their grade 7 education yet lack the financial or familial resources to attend secondary school grades 812. Our holistic approach includes scholarship at the secondary and tertiary level health services a resource centre offering computer and literacy classes and youth life skills clubs in 30 government schools.
