Home Change a Childs Story The National CASAGAL Association for Children supports and promotes courtappointed volunteer advocacy for children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect. We believe that every child should be given the opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home. Our Work Court Appointed Special Advocate CASA and guardian ad litem GAL volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for childrens best interests. This bestinterest advocacy makes a lifechanging difference for children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect many of whom are in foster care.

Each CASA and GAL volunteer is appointed by a judge to advocate for a child’s best interest in court. CASA/GAL volunteers help judges develop a fuller picture of each child’s life. Their advocacy enables judges to make the most well-informed decision for each child.

GALLATIN COUNTY CASAGAL PROGRAM INC
Every year, over 200,000 children who have experienced abuse or neglect rely on court-appointed special advocate (CASA) or guardian ad litem (GAL) volunteers to champion their best interests both in and out of court. The National CASA/GAL Association provides essential start-up funds for new programs and growth grants for expansions so that more children and youth who need an advocate get one. On April 22, federal funding for the National CASA/GAL Association was terminated, halting OJJDP federal financial support for new programs and some existing programs.
