‼️ LET ILLINOIS’ INCARCERATED VOTE ‼️ One of our lifelong organizers, activists, and partners, Brian Beals, recently sat down with @chicagosuntimes to bring necessary awareness to the systemic issue of not allowing incarcerated people in IL to vote. Brian is also the founder and Executive Director of @mudtheatreproject, and spends a large chunk of his organizing work advocating for the voiceless. In the article he also discusses SB1733, also known as The RACE Act, as well as HB1581, which would increase university funding as well as graduation retention rates.
