Our Agency Services & Program team recently brought back its Partner Agency Conference! Hosted at our partner agency Housing Authority of Glasgow- HERO Center, we gathered representatives of our partner agencies from the eastern half of our 42 counties. The purpose of the conference is to do mandatory civil rights and food safety training for our agencies providing U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) commodity food and purchase pantry food. It’s also a great networking opportunity for our agencies and a wonderful way for FAKH staff to meet and chat with our agencies. The HERO Center is a community centered facility and enabled agency partner staff and volunteers to move from the general sessions to break-out rooms where sessions such as Community Engagement and Feeding the Future- Child Nutrition were held. We also had some fun holding a raffle for agencies that attended! We will host the exact same conference for our counties in the western half of the region in the fall, so stay tuned for a save-the-date email!
