Border Kindness
Introduction
Border Kindness is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services to asylum seekers, migrants, refugees, and the displaced. Since its inception in November 2018, the organization has been committed to ensuring that these vulnerable populations receive essential support, including food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and legal services.
Mission and Services
The mission of Border Kindness is guided by a belief in the inherent dignity and worth of every individual, striving to create an environment where everyone can live free from pain, hunger, intimidation, and fear. Their services are specifically designed to protect and nurture women, children, the elderly, and families, who are often the most vulnerable in migrant communities.
Border Kindness has achieved significant milestones in providing aid:
- Over 1 million meals
- More than 822,000 personal care items
- Over 511,500 pieces of clothing
- Approximately 112,200 medical interventions
- Close to 65,000 prescription medications distributed to those in need[1].
Activities and Impact
Beyond offering traditional support services, Border Kindness engages in proactive efforts to prevent preventable deaths along the border. Volunteers embark on treacherous terrain to leave behind crucial supplies like food, water, and first aid kits. These actions are motivated by the high number of migrant-related fatalities, many of which are attributed to extreme weather conditions such as heat-related illnesses[2].
Challenges and Controversies
The work of Border Kindness is not without controversy. Some have questioned the legality of providing aid in certain contexts, although advocates argue that their actions are grounded in humanitarian principles and case law supporting similar efforts by other organizations[2]. Additionally, the organization has encountered issues with state registrations, impacting their status as a recognized charity in certain listings[3].
Financial and Administrative Status
Border Kindness operates on a significant budget, with expectations to undergo financial audits based on its revenue levels. However, as of recent reports, the organization faced challenges related to compliance with state registrations, affecting its ability to accept donations through certain platforms[3].
Public Presence
Border Kindness maintains an active presence on social media platforms, such as Instagram, where it highlights its mission and the impact of its work across regions including Mexicali, Imperial Valley, and Los Angeles[4].
Conclusion
Border Kindness continues to play a vital role in supporting migrant and refugee communities through its extensive range of services and advocacy efforts. Despite operational challenges, the organization remains committed to its core mission of fostering hope and promoting dignity for those navigating complex and dangerous border crossings.

The "agents" are not identifying themselves and they do not have warrants! Incredible that DHS is playing the "family" and "doxing" cards. Quite simply ICE is breaking the law (several laws)! Seems that only law enforcement families and kids count! (fb)
