"Laura Kellams, Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families director, was another speaker Wednesday and provided updates on federal health care legislation. The federal government wants to cut $300 billion from Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funding and $700 billion from Medicaid funding, she said. 'The types of changes that we're talking about would take food and health care from families,' she added.
