Slater’s One-Year Anniversary Adventure Today marks one full year since Slater arrived at BMHS—and yesterday, he celebrated with a well-deserved Pawsitive Adventure! Volunteers Machelle Colligan and Karen Maxwell took Slater on a 3-mile walk starting near Veteran’s Memorial Golf Course, winding through the Harvey Estates neighborhood. Slater showed off his excellent leash manners, calmly taking in his surroundings and enjoying every scent-filled shrub and dirt pile along the way. Construction noises and passing equipment didn’t faze him at all. And after the walk? Slater rode like a pro to Dutch Bros East, where he enjoyed a celebratory pup cup, as sweet and laid-back as ever. Slater is everything you’d want in a companion: gentle, patient, and full of quiet joy. We honestly can’t understand how this lovable boy has been waiting a whole year for his forever home.
