Black Veterans Empowerment Council Were on a mission to empower black veterans. Over two million Black veterans stand among us representing 12 of the nations veteran populationa testament to their remarkable service and sacrifice. Yet despite their invaluable contributions Black veterans face disproportionate challenges that demand urgent attention. INEQUITIES BY THE NUMBERS Alarmingly 33 of the homeless veteran population is made up of Black veterans.
