The Tuscarora Academy Museum opens for the season this Sunday, June 1 from 1:30-4:00. This year’s Special Exhibit Room theme is Transportation. While most of the items are railroad related, there are a few things on bridges and the canal as well. One very special piece we have on loan this summer is a diorama from this video on the Tuscarora Valley Railroad. The area you see at the end in Port Royal has been generously delivered to us by George Pierson, author of the popular book on the TVRR called Tommy Varner’s Red Rooster. PLEASE NOTE: We are still in the middle of the window restoration due to delays by the contractor. We will do everything we can to ensure the best visitor experience possible under the circumstances.
