The Fells Historic Estate and Gardens is the 1891 summer estate of John Milton Hay (1838-1905), consisting of 83 conserved acres; gardens; & historic buildings. Discover The Fells 83.5 acres of beauty and tranquility; learn the legacy of diplomat and statesman John Milton Hay; tour the 22-room Colonial Revival home; explore the forests, walk the woodland trails; and enjoy the renowned gardens. OUR MISSION IS TO WELCOME PEOPLE OF ALL AGES TO THE JOHN HAY ESTATE AT THE FELLS, MAKING EACH VISIT AN ENRICHING EXPERIENCE WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPLORE AND LEARN FROM OUR NATURAL LAKESIDE SETTING, OUR RENOWNED HISTORIC BUILDINGS AND GARDENS, AND THE HISTORIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF THREE GENERATIONS OF HAY FAMILY VISIONARIES.
