The museum was initially founded as the Staggerwing Museum Foundation in October 1973 under the auspices of the Staggerwing Club. In April 2007, it was renamed the Beechcraft Heritage Museum to reflect its broader mission of preserving all Beechcraft models from 1932 to the present.
Mission
The museum's mission includes preserving Beechcraft and related aircraft, promoting aviation education, maintaining a library of aviation documents, recognizing aviation personalities and historical events, and conducting aircraft restorations. The museum houses a diverse collection of aircraft, including over 38 models, such as the Beechcraft AT-11 Kansan, Beechcraft Staggerwings, Bonanzas, Barons, and the Beechcraft 2000A Starship. Events
One of its notable events is the annual Beech Party, a fly-in that attracts a wide range of aircraft and aviation enthusiasts from around the world. The event includes professional exhibits, educational seminars, and social activities.
