New Mexico Primary Care Association

The New Mexico Primary Care Association (NMPCA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving access to high-quality primary health care services in New Mexico. It represents 22 member organizations operating over 200 clinics, including primary care, dental, school-based, and behavioral health facilities throughout the state.

History

The New Mexico Primary Care Association was founded in 1980. It has been at the forefront of strengthening and expanding primary care services in New Mexico for over four decades.

Mission

NMPCA's mission is to promote the advancement of high-quality primary health care that is financially and geographically accessible, culturally competent, and responsive to the communities served. This is achieved through various programs and partnerships aimed at enhancing the capacity of member health centers.

Programs and Services

NMPCA offers a broad array of services to support its member clinics:

• Professional Education and Technical Assistance: NMPCA provides training and assistance to help develop staff, boards, and community partners.
• Outreach and Enrollment Support: The organization aids in enrolling consumers in Medicaid and other health insurance programs.
