Preserving and Promoting the Traditions of Cowboys and Gear Makers WINTER MUSEUM HOURSMonday Friday Saturday 10 am4pm Visiting the Cowboy Arts Gear Museum Step back in time when you walk through the doors of the historic 1907 building that used to house G. S. Garcias saddle shop in downtown Elko Nevada. The museum is dedicated to honoring cowboy and gear maker history while also supporting todays makers artists and ranchers with a special focus on the annual Bit Spur Rawhide Rein contest held during the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
