The Washington Health Action Network is a grassroots coalition of senior care providers caregivers residents families and concerned citizens who have joined together to highlight the need for access quality and support for publiclyfunded long term care in Washington State. WHAN exists to shine a light on the needs of Washington seniors living in senior housing assisted living communities and nursing homes and to advocate for a sustainable system of supports and services for those who require care. We are focused on grassroots advocacy as a means to ensure that long term care and senior housing funding is a top tier issue in Washington State. The Problem Chronic ongoing Medicaid shortfalls in excess of 100 million dollars annually threatened access and care quality in Washington long term care facilities before the COVID19 pandemic.
