This week, our Executive Director, Diane Nazzaro, is in Washington, D.C. attending the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV) Conference, celebrating 35 years of unwavering commitment to ending veteran homelessness! From May 27–30, 2025, the “Honoring the Past, Building the Future” conference is bringing together national experts, federal partners, and frontline providers to reflect on the progress we’ve made and share bold strategies to drive lasting change. NCHV is the only national organization solely dedicated to ending veteran homelessness, through collaboration, policy advocacy, service provider support, and a vital referral helpline for veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness. As we celebrate this powerful legacy, we’re proud to stand with NCHV in building a future where every veteran has a place to call home. (fb)

BIG NEWS! We are thrilled to share that we’ve been selected as a CARES UP grant awardee by the New York State Office of Mental Health’s Suicide Prevention Center (OMH SPCNY)! Thanks to this two-year grant, we’re proud to launch the Onward Ops Program right here in our community, a powerful initiative supporting Veterans as they transition from military to civilian life. The Onward Ops Program pairs newly separated Veterans with local volunteer sponsors who provide guidance, resources, and support during the critical first year after service, a period known as the “deadly gap” due to high risks of isolation, unemployment, and mental health struggles. This program is made possible in partnership with the VA and Department of Defense. We can’t wait to get started, and we’re honored to be part of this vital, life-saving effort for our Veterans.
