EMBARC EMBARC IS A GRASSROOTS COMMUNITYBASED NONPROFIT FOUNDED BY REFUGEES FOR REFUGEES Connecting Refugees With Resources For Life EMBARC was founded in 2012 by refugees from Burma for refugees based on the belief that sustainable change comes from a community empowered to help themselves. We are Iowas first refugeeled service organization. Our mission is to empower the community toward selfsufficiency through advocacy education and community development throughout Iowa. Our vision is to see refugee families thrive in Iowa with the skills resources and support needed for life.
