LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF CALIFORNIA EDUCATION FUND
Kristy Oriol, LWVC Development Director, witnessed democracy in action earlier this week. She accompanied LWVC Deputy Director Dora Rose, LWVC Public Policy & Organizing Manager Savannah Jorgensen, and partners at California Clean Money Action Fund and California Common Cause who advocated for SB 42—aimed at restoring voters’ power to reform campaign financing and curb the influence of wealthy donors. In a single day, they held 10 meetings with lawmakers, demonstrated collective resolve, and pushed for fairer elections.
