The Seabeee Museum and Memorial Park preserves the history of the US Navy Seabees at their original home. It also provides displays of several vintage Quonset Hut which were developed at this base to support the military in WW-II. On the grounds can be seen the concrete Chapel-in-the-Pines, built by Seabess in 1960, and the famous 3,200 pound steel Seabee statue that stood at Gate 1 of the former Navy Base. The Museum also documents the service of the US navy Seabees from 1942 to the present.
