Wise | Promoting Equitable Employment for People with Developmental Disabilities Through Innovation, Training and Technical Assistance Promoting equitable employment About Wise Wise founded in 1985 is a private not for profit organization dedicated to expanding and sustaining employment opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We consult with People with Disabilities Families Employment Agencies National State and Local Governments School Districts and Private businesses providing training and technical assistance for those who wish to create employment opportunities in their communities. Wise plays a vital leadership role focused on the employment of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are a catalyst for change and challenge the status quo in the pursuit of full inclusion for people with significant disabilities.

We’re excited to announce that Wise and the Washington State IDD employment community have been honored with the 2025 Ability Transcends Challenges (ATC) Award from the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS) and the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS). This national recognition celebrates our ongoing commitment to advancing disability employment and fostering inclusive workplaces across Major League Baseball communities. The ATC Award highlights businesses making a difference, proving that with opportunity and support, people with disabilities can be powerful contributors in our communities and workforce.
