We are thrilled to announce that our newest trial horse, Gemma, has successfully completed her trial period and is now beginning her work in the Little Bit program. Gemma is a 20-year-old, 15-hand dark bay mare with a strong background in dressage. Throughout her trial, Gemma has proven to be a confident and intelligent partner, impressing both our adaptive and therapy teams. After being a Little Bit horse since 2017, it is time for Ronan to retire from the Little Bit program. For those of you who know him, Ronan has an amazing personality, he is communicative, playful and affectionate, with both human and equine friends, especially his buddy Zorro and as an admirer to Brunhilda. After serving our community for 8 years, in both our adaptive riding and therapy programs, Ronan has reached a time when he deserves to be retired from mounted work. He has brought joy to many people throughout his career and truly deserves a wonderful retirement. We will now begin the process of looking for a suitable retirement home for Ronan. Of course, he will remain at Little Bit until we find a home where we are confident, he will receive the care he deserves. Ronan is a sociable guy, an easy keeper with low maintenance needs. He would do well at a pasture home with equine friends to hang out with and human friends to love on him.
