Home About the Houston Dow Institute The Houston Dow Institute HDI is a fully volunteerrun 501c3 nonprofit organization whose objective is to promote higher education by providing scholarships to qualified candidates enrolled in recognized degree programs at accredited colleges and universities. Scholarships are accomplished through financial contributions and fundraising events such as golf tournaments raffles and sporting clays tournaments. HDI has been awarding scholarships for over 54 years. To be eligible to apply for a scholarship a candidate must have one of the following relationships to a Dow employee or retiree of the Houston Dow Center childstepchild legal ward spouse grandchild brothersister.
