🐾 Protect Dogs & Wildlife This Fawn Season! 🦌 With fawn season approaching, Sierra Wildlife Rescue reminds dog owners to help keep all animals safe. Did you know? 🚨 Loose dogs cause many fawn injuries. It’s tragic, and also preventable. ✅ El Dorado County’s leash law requires dogs to be leashed when off private property. ⚠️ Even friendly dogs have instincts. It’s up to owners to keep them leashed or within fenced areas. 🦌 Mama deer will defend their fawns. Loose dogs risk injury from protective does. If your property isn’t fully enclosed, please make sure your dog is safely contained. Fencing and enclosures may be an investment, but it’s an owner’s responsibility to protect pets and local wildlife. 📞 See a fawn in distress? Call Sierra Wildlife Rescue’s Fawn Team: 530-678-3296 (530-678-FAWN). Together, we can keep all animals safe. Thank you for being a responsible pet owner! 💚 🔗 For reference, here’s the El Dorado County leash law: Sec. 6.12.070 – Running at large prohibited: “No person owning or having control of any animal… shall permit such animal to stray or run at large upon any public street or place, or any unenclosed private lot…” 🐾 Please share to help spread awareness!
