Helping Women with Children Achieve Longterm Success through Education Since 1998 Milagro House has impacted the lives of hundreds of women with children facing poverty and homelessness through an innovative approach to poverty alleviation that addresses the root causes of poverty. Translated from Spanish milagro means miracle we strive to live up to this name each and every day. Milagro House is the only residential program for mothers facing homelessness in Lancaster County that holds education attainment at its core. When women come to Milagro House they find a way to break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their children.
