Delphi Schools Inc
Delphi Schools Inc is a nonprofit organization registered under the Internal Revenue Code as a 501(c)(3), focusing on educational purposes. The organization was formed in 1973 by a group of educators aiming to create a new kind of educational system that emphasizes personal ethics and accomplishment, rather than age-based advancement[2].
Overview
Delphi Schools Inc operates as a network of schools, with its founding institution being the Delphian School located in Sheridan, Oregon. The organization uses a standardized curriculum known as the Delphi Program, which includes Study Technology developed by L. Ron Hubbard. This program emphasizes mastery of subjects through individualized learning, teaching students to learn any subject thoroughly rather than simply passing exams[5].
Mission and Activities
The mission of Delphi Schools Inc is to draw out the best in every student through effective educational materials and empower young adults to bring positive change in the world through reason, creativity, and integrity[3]. The organization focuses on providing comprehensive education that prepares students for life beyond academics, fostering leadership, ethics, and responsibility.
Delphi Schools Inc is dedicated to revitalizing education through effective primary, elementary, and secondary schools, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across its network by licensing its curriculum and methods to affiliate schools[2].
Financial Overview
As a nonprofit, Delphi Schools Inc relies on various revenue streams, including contributions, program services, and investment income. The organization's financial data indicates a significant reliance on program services for its revenue, with contributions and other sources supplementing this income[1].
Delphi Schools Inc also maintains substantial assets while managing its liabilities, reflecting its financial stability and capacity to support educational initiatives.
Educational Approach
The educational approach of Delphi Schools emphasizes mastery over age-based progression. This method allows students to progress at their own pace and ensures that they have a thorough understanding of each subject before moving on to the next level[2]. The curriculum includes training in life skills, leadership, and practical application of knowledge, preparing students to be active contributors in various fields.

Congratulations to Delphian graduate Ana Julia Escamilla! "Billy Joel once said, 'You’ve got your passion, you’ve got your pride, but don’t you know that only fools are satisfied.' Back in school in Mexico, I accepted things the way they were. I was okay with struggling in math, with putting in minimal effort, and with just being good enough. I didn’t ask more of myself. As I moved forward, something started to shift. At first, the changes were so small they barely seemed to matter. But I began to realize that real progress—the kind that lasts—isn’t loud. It happens in quiet moments, when no one’s watching. I learned that if you’re only chasing praise or recognition, you’ll miss the point entirely. Delphian taught me to value the small things. The tiny details that, when you notice them, give you the chance to be good, but when you truly care about them and work to perfect them, that’s when you become great. Now, as I stand at the edge of whatever comes next, my future feels less like a straight road and more like an open sea. There’s no exact path, no way to know the winds or the size of the waves, but I trust the tools I’ve gained to navigate it. The person standing here today is the result of six years of learning how to lean into discomfort, how to pay attention, and how to build a hunger not just for knowledge, but for life itself. And while Delphian taught me to reach for greatness one detail at a time, it also gave me details I’ll carry with me forever: The peaceful early mornings on the fourth floor, watching the sun rise. A warm 'Hello, my dear' from Alyssa when my day wasn’t going well. A 'Yes! That’s right!' from Tom when I finally got a math problem. The hikes and trail runs with friends. Listening to Trish’s travel stories in Advanced Art. Late-night conversations, and hypothetical debates that made us laugh until we cried. Talking for hours with Grace, running the Telethon with Nathan and London, and studying late at night by myself, realizing I had almost made it. These moments weren’t loud. They were quiet. But they built me. And they reminded me that greatness isn’t given. It’s earned, one, beautiful detail at a time." (fb)

Congratulations to alumna Lindsay (Price) Wright who graduated summa cum laude with an honors degree in biological sciences from California State University at Chico. Out of a graduating class of 3600, she was chosen to receive the President’s Academic Excellence Award, which is awarded to the graduating senior with the highest cumulative GPA, as well as other achievements. Great Job Lindsay! (fb)
