But over the past few generations childhood has moved indoors. On average todays kids spend up to 44 hours per week in front of a screen and less than 10 minutes a day playing outdoors.

This month and throughout the year, we honor the generations of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) who have contributed to America’s history. Their knowledge of, relationship to and advocacy for the natural world plays a crucial role in the environmental movement. Celebrate and uplift their rich stories by exploring this curated collection of resources, stories and groups — and share your ideas for additions with us in our DMs or in the comments.
