Wildflower season is approaching! Pasque flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris) - originally mis-identified as prairie smoke (Geum triflorum)! - is an early blooming specimen - and a good sign that other colorful varieties are on their way. Surrounding the prairie smoke is little bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium), another prairie native.
