The non-auditory health effects of exposure to the long-term, repetitive impulse noise of pickleball was the subject of one paper presented at the Acoustical Society of America's annual meeting. People victimized by pickleball noise report severe distress: “No one would choose to live this way. It is physically and emotionally debilitating." The paper includes many interesting graphics, including one showing one person's experience of up to 2800 pickleballl pops per hour, or 21,208 pops in one day. (fb)
